More than a portfolio.
A governing institution.

About

Triventure strengthens businesses through capital allocation, governance and operating discipline. Each company has the autonomy to act and the accountability to deliver.

Philosophy

We exist to build enterprises that outlast the markets they serve, the leaders who build them, and the strategies of any single era.

Triventure was built on a simple belief: enterprise must serve people, not the other way around.

India’s economic opening created new opportunity and accelerated demand for talent. Formal employment did not keep pace. IKYA was founded in 2007 to help close that gap. The businesses that grew from that beginning now employ more than 600,000 people across nine countries.

The scale has changed. The philosophy has not. Our aim is to build a long-term institution, not a collection of assets. We begin with capable leadership, clear accountability and sound operating systems. We build scale on those foundations, not ahead of them.

Integrity, mutual trust and people-first leadership guide how we work. We allocate capital with discipline and back businesses that have the capabilities and leadership to remain useful through changing markets.

Six Pillars

The principles that guide us

Integrity, mutual trust, and people-first leadership lie at the heart of what we do.

Institution building

Leadership, systems and financial strength that carry a business forward.

Future readiness

Technology, AI and operating models built for a changing market.

People-centric scale

Employment, skills, careers and shared ownership.

Governance and stewardship

Decentralised authority, measurable accountability and disciplined capital.

Social responsibility

Institutions in education, healthcare, public health and public policy.

Operating depth

Group experience applied where it can strengthen execution.

We buy more than we sell. We give businesses
a permanent home, strengthen them and reinvest the cash they generate.

For founders

A permanent home for the
business you built.

Selling a business is not only a transaction. It is a decision about its next owner, its people and the legacy attached to it.

Triventure has completed 31 acquisitions and three divestments. Our model combines long-term ownership with active stewardship: buy, strengthen and keep businesses whose capabilities fit the group. We provide capital, governance and strategic support. Management teams remain accountable for execution and, where appropriate, continue to lead.

We look for sound fundamentals, capable people and sectors with durable demand. We also look for alignment. The best transactions begin with a shared view of what the business can become.

Investment approach

Six principles put our philosophy into practice when we evaluate opportunities and build businesses.

The test is simple: does the opportunity strengthen the portfolio, fit our long-term direction and give us confidence in the people who will build it?

Thirty-one acquisitions.
Capability built across four businesses.

Over the years, acquisitions have helped Triventure enter new markets, add specialised capabilities and strengthen the businesses we own, playing a central role in building the scale and depth of the group today.

A track record

The group has grown organically and through acquisition. Thirty-one acquisitions have added capability, leadership and access to new markets. The three divestments we have made reflect that capital discipline remains an important part of ownership. Our approach is to buy and build rather than buy and sell. Most of the businesses we have acquired have remained within the group and grown over time.

Fairfax Holdings has been a long-term investment partner since 2013 and has been a part of the group for 13 years. Its patient capital provides the four businesses with stability and the freedom to build for the long term.

The story

IKYA became Quess. Quess later demerged into three independently listed businesses that now form part of a group of four listed companies across people, digital intelligence and physical infrastructure.

The promoters, including Fairfax, together own approximately 57% in each listed entity. Fairfax has been part of the group since 2013. This ownership supports continuity while each company retains its own leadership, board and operating accountability.

Ajit Isaac

Founder, Triventure Holdings

Triventure sits above the operating companies. It allocates capital, sets governance standards and agrees measurable priorities with each business. It does not centralise execution. The companies are adequately financed for growth and are expected to maintain strong balance sheets.

Good businesses endure beyond the people who start them. And that’s what we build for.

After a decade as an HR leader, Ajit Isaac began his entrepreneurial journey in 2000, when he founded People One Consulting, a HR services firm. The company’s growth was shaped in part by what he observed during a visit to the United States in 2001, where he saw temporary staffing developing into a significant industry. Around the same time, India’s private equity market was evolving, creating new possibilities for entrepreneurs to build businesses at scale. In 2004, he sold a controlling stake in People One Consulting to Adecco, one of the world’s largest staffing companies, while continuing his association with Adecco for the next three years.

In India, a decade after liberalisation, the IT and services boom was accelerating demand for talent and drawing millions towards new opportunities. With formal employment unable to keep pace, Ajit Isaac founded IKYA in 2007 to help address that gap by connecting people to organised employment. IKYA eventually became Quess Corp.

In 2013, Fairfax Holdings joined as a long-term investment partner and became part of Quess Corp, the founding business of Triventure Holdings. Its patient capital provides the group’s four businesses with stability and the freedom to build for the long term. Today, the promoters, Fairfax Holdings and Ajit Isaac, together own approximately 57% of each listed entity.

Through acquisitions and expansion into businesses beyond staffing, IKYA evolved into a group of companies employing more than 600,000 people across nine countries. Today, those businesses operate across workforce solutions, technology, digital business services, and infrastructure.
